![]() ![]() We do not hear anything about the whereabouts of Tobias, who is supposed to be in a tree nearby, which seems suspicious. T-114 slips out into the night in his tiger form without waking Rachel, who he wants to leave alive so that she can be useful when delivered up to V3. It had not occurred to Jake or to me that this would happen, and we are both sort of o_0 about it. Rachel eventually falls asleep as well, and T-114 puts his plan into place: apparently he can also control Jake’s morphing abilities, so he starts working his way into a tiger morph, which makes it very easy to get out of his restraints. (The Yeerk is not as ride-or-die for tigers as Visser Three is, though, so I guess that’s a personal trait and not a species-wide one.) Jake himself does actually doze off, dreaming his tiger dream, which the Yeerk finds interesting. Late at night in Tobias’ Prisoner Confinement Shack, Rachel and Tobias are standing watch while Temrash 114 pretends to make Jake’s body sleep. ![]()
